dntel- life is full of possibilities
dntel- life is full of possibilities

~ not sure really who/what dntel is, but i really like the music. more pop-like than i'm used to liking, but in a sort of pseudo-intellecutal way. good beats, creative rhythm, and a cool name.

electric birds - gradations
electric birds - gradations

~ electric birds are very relaxing to listen to, much like live, acoustic birds. electric music perfect for listening to in your kitchen while making a vegan omlette or maybe a rice dish with beets and carrots.

pedro the lion - it's hard to find a friend
pedro the lion - it's hard to find a friend

~ what catchy emotion these few dudes can belt out. i saw them in a little indie bookstore in corvallis about 4 years ago, and thought they made excellent music. since then i've started hearing a lot more about them. seems like people are catching on these days and actually embracing good music.

pan american - 360 business/ 360 bypass
pan american - 360 business/ 360 bypass

~ pan american makes lovely modern sounds. very cool background music for potlucks, romantic footrubs, or snowball fights.

billy bragg - talking with the postman about poetry
billy bragg - talking with the postman about poetry

~ i'm not sure which genre billy bragg would be filed under, but i wish there were more artists like him. half folk, half english political punk, he makes good songs all around.

bob dylan - nashville skyline
bob dylan - nashville skyline

~ what can you say about bob dylan that everyone doesn't already know? there's no arguing that he is great, but only which songs/albums you like more. i like nashville skyline for a few reasons: it was the first bob dylan i heard, as when i was a young dude i was going through all my dad's niel diamond albums when i discovered this one. i really liked it. the other reason is i can't think of a much better duo than bob dylan and johnny cash.
